Scotchguard on sofa

I had several problems with a sofa. To cut a long story short, the store grudgingly replaced it!

The sofa I picked is a light cream :o We paid extra for scotchguard on the first sofa and it was meant to be done on this one.

It's not been a year and it looks filthy :(. Is there any way of checking that this has been done?

On the back of the sofa spray some water it should repel it and bead up.

My son has a beige sofa that i can wash the 4 main sofa cushions so the arms get really dirty.I use those sponge erasers and Elbow Grease both from £1 shops and the arms come up clean.

Are these for upholstery? Excuse my ignorance but I am unsure what they are :o

    Amazon
But i get mine from £1 shop or 99p shop .Elbow grease is in there too

Did u spray some water on back of sofa ? I think Scotchguard just gives you more time to clean up spills on carpets/sofa .

Are you saying there is now a product called elbow grease? :)

I think you are right. My son spilled hot chocolate on it but it just soaked in:eek: I did sponge it but it is still very noticeable :(

I truly don't know if I can face complaining about it. It was a major hassle to get it replaced. We started our livingroom, hall and cloakroom a year past October and everything we have purchased or have had fitted, we have had to complain about :(

Ignore me, I've found it :).

I take it, that these are ok with fabric sofas? Looks like they do all surfaces???

Try this as i am a bit worried your spray to much Elbow Grease and make the sofa yellow but still buy it if your in the £1 shop as well worth it.

Or rent a Rug Doctor and you can clean carpets and sofa at same time.
I usually clean my sons in the summer as we then put it out side to dry.
