No forum smilies in Chrome, but fine in IE ...

I started using Chrome as my main internet browser a while ago (used to use IE), but cannot post smilies to this forum now - it's fine in IE. Does anyone know why I have this problem with Chrome, or let me know how I can rectify this?

Other than saying I use Chrome and have just tried both the old and new versions of the forum and can post smilies OK I can't suggest just what you are going wrong.
Is it that you don't see the smilies or that when you click on one it doesn't result in the text that produces them appearing in your post?
I notice in this new version of the forum I need to click advanced to see them.

Weird, just tried again and got the "symbol" for the happy smilie appear, not the actual icon. However, when I posted this, the actual smilie came up!
Looks like the problem's sort of resolved

Curiously this issue usually affects IE11 users. Two workarounds ...
1. Click on the Switch Editor Mode (icon at top right of reply box) and it will post the code when you click on the icon.
2. Right click on the icon, select Copy ... right click in the text and select Paste.... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -
Just realised the fault seems to lie with the way I'm using my trackman wheel (rather than a mouse!) All fine now ...Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0
