  • Well I have got the all clear to return back to work which I am delighted about it's a case of wear and tear on the joints, I think deep down it's since I hit 40 my body seems to be dropping to bits haha, so I am now preparing for night shift for the next three nights in one sense I am happy but in another it's hard my DD is here to stay for 8 days, how times change so, she is going to be staying at my partners. 2015 is nearly here my thoughts are about what I am going to achieve, becoming debt free.. And moving in with my partner
  • Well that's one night shift down, I have had a couple of hours sleep, and another two night shifts to do feeling slightly gutted that I will not see the New year in with my family, but needs must need to work, and with the determination will see the end of 2015 debt free.. Spends today has been £13:14p at tesco for New Year's Eve tea and buffet food for Tomorrow for me and the family. Thinking about my job as a carer I am fortunate I work, and I am blessed that I work with people that have no family so in so many ways I am thankful for what I have and going to achieve.
  • Well this is probably going to be my last post of 2014 can't wait to see 2015 I have so many wishes in the things I want to achieve in 2015 I am sure there will be highs and lows but I really believe from the bottom of ny heart come 31 December 2015 I will look back and say what a year.. Happy New Year to everyone on here, together we have the same goals to save money to support one another and to eliminate debt, for a brighter future Xx

  • Happy New year Laura..Hope you are well and hope 2015 is full of blessings and the things you want to achieve At the moment I am going through a stint of doing nights at work I have to be honest I am pleased tonight is my last night shift I am really tired, and haven't done much due to sleeping, but will get back on track tomorrow when I finish. Today what I have done has been able to put money into my sealed pot, I am going open this 31 December, I am thankful also to my parents for feeding me that's been a big help and come to think about it I have had a No spend Day... Big pat on the back to me..
  • Night shift gives you the opportunity to think about things after I have had a sleep tomorrow I am going to sort out and sell my clothes on but also look in my garage there is things in there that can be sold a bike I don't use car batteries that can be sold on for scrap tomorrow I am going to start doing surveys and more the so when my partner is watching the soaps ;)

I can imagine it is really tiring, don't think I would do much either working night shifts. Good news it's over with now?

I stuck my first item on eBay today but have loads more that need to go on, I need all the money I can get at the moment seeing as I had to wipe my emergency fund for my poorly guinea pig.

At least I have the whole of this year to get myself sorted. :)

  • Yesterday I probably realised that I could not do nightshifts all the time, I certainly do respect people that do them, given the opportunity I would do them again especially whilst raising extra income. My idea of been productive yesterday simply didn't happen but what a difference a day can make I have had a decent nights sleep and ready to get the ball rolling, as we speak I have done something positive a £1 has gone into my savings pot. So Good Morning everyone hope your day is good X
  • Been a unpaid carer for my parents, sometimes it's a case of time management and doing things just that little extra to make life just that little comfortable I love the unpredictable things that can happen but I genuinely appreciate what my parents do for me, like at dinnertime today I supported my dad with going shopping in return he wanted to eat out, we went to Tesco cafe and was treated to a meal, thanks dad a full up Dad been treat by his dad it means a lot

That's lovely, a little treat is always nice. It really does sound like you do a lot for them too and they obviously really appreciate that.

Like you said doing little things here and there is fine, I can't imagine you having much spare time.
