2015: The year of pursuing happiness

Happy Sunday everyone!
I'm off work for a couple of weeks now :j it's my Christmas break as we're nonstop throughout December so don't get chance for time off then. Got some fab news just before I left as well - I'm in line for a promotion in 4 months when the current GM leaves
Absolutely chuffed to bits and I'm already plotting and planning what I want me and my team to achieve and how we're going to do it! Fingers crossed for a rather healthy payrise too :T
Been to the gym twice this last week and hit my daily water target each day. Generally feeling pretty happy with myself tbh which is a good thing as it's what I'm wanting to aim for! I had such a big grin on my face all day on Friday I just suddenly felt like things were coming together. It may just be a fleeting moment but I'll take that! I did say at the beginning of Jan I wanted to go to the gym 10 times this month so I need to go three times per week over the next fortnight which should be easy enough as I don't need to fit it around work
Lazy rest day for me today though I think

Thanks LCC!!
I'm enjoying my first couple of days off work, I was defo ready for them!! I have been lazy though and not been to the gym this week yet
BF finishes on Thursday so we're planning a couple of things to do next week. Nothing major as both of us watching our pennies.
Starting to think over my aims for February - I went for the softly softly approach for my targets for the first month of the year so I need to step it up and get my !!! into gear for sure!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

So I've had a lovely lazy few days. Been walking a lot and just generally chilling out. BF finished work yesterday too so we've got just over a week to do various bits and pieces. Nothing too major as we're trying to be good money wise. I need to steal away and sort all his presents out at some point before next weekend too. I'm excited to see his reaction to everything

Thanks for your encouragement LG although I fear your kind words were too kind! I've been very lazy and not been to the gym during my time off work - I do have a bit of an excuse in that I'd paid up front for a 3 month membership and it ran out last week, I didn't want to renew it until my CC reset which was yesterday. Now I'm thinking I will join and pay monthly - you can still cancel anytime after 3 months which I like. I have been walking and doing a couple of ab sessions on my bedroom floor in the meantime. Better than nothing but my 10 times at the gym target for Jan hasn't really worked out. I am officially useless!!
I'm going to use the excuse that this is my Christmas break and so my new year properly starts in February. That's ok right?!
Plans are all in motion for BF's birthday weekend and I'm really excited. Money wise I should be ok for Feb and hope to start making some headway with the debts. I'll be up to £2k in my savings when the SO goes out next week too. Boom!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

So I've been feeling a bit meh over the past couple of days. Not really sure why. Ive been in nag mode to BF which is mean and I feel bad for it. Think I need to crack open some new motivation! Need to hit the ground running with my February to do list and actually make sure I tick the things off the list! It's BF's birthday this weekend which I'm looking forward to. I don't have any excuse to not be happy

Right, first day back at work today. Moving forward quite quickly with planning etc for my impending promotion. Not felt this excited about work in years! Need to stop moping now my chilled post-christmas annual leave is over and hit the ground running with my pursuit of happiness!!
This month I want to...
1. Continue drinking at least 1 litre of water each day.
2. Renew my gym membership and go at least 10 times this month.
3. Meal plan for the entire month and do one big shop for the month plus 1 top up shop for fresh stuff each week.
4. Have 15 NSDs (I used to be able to manage at least 20 per month so this *should* be a doddle. Ha!)
5. Read first Lord of the Rings book.
Had a great weekend just gone - BF loved his birthday treats and surprises which made me very happy!! Got a few things in the pipeline for the house too so will see how that all works out this week. Be happy

Well this last month has been a wash out. Had some terrible news at work which has made the last couple of weeks very hard. I need to get my head back into everything. My promotion is coming along very soon and I've started putting bits and pieces in place to improve things. I hope it all goes to plan

As for my money saving action points, I don't think I've done any of them
So I shall just pull forward my last set of aims for this month and pretend February didn't happen. Is that allowed?! It is now
