New windows - cheaper in winter?

Options
We've come to the realisation that we have more windows with problems than ones that work. We can put the work off a while but is there any truth to my vague idea/hope that the window companies might be looking for work in the winter and that it therefore might be cheaper to get done it now than in the summer?

Can't fault that logic, all you can do is get quotes but I'm guessing they may scale back and reduce the number of subbies working for them or divert labour into other aspects of their buisiness as many smaller companies do.

Give them a try but just remember how short the days are and how cold it gets with half the front of the house open:D:D

All down to if there is a saving to be had I guess.

From an observational point of view having fitted a fair few over the years, the profiles are more difficult to snap in and are brittle under really cold temps, same with glass but I'd guess anyone doing this full time could live with that.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Buy today and they will be installed in February or March don't think you'll get much of a saving to be honest.

You can try but it doesn't really work that way. The only ones thst are likely to give you a 'winter discount' are the companies that use very outdated sales techniques ie 'sign now and we'll give you 50% off'. Try your local independent companies who have lower overheads and will give you a better service.
