Hello,
I've been given a cooler master lite computer. The person who gave it to me said 'that since he upgraded to windows 8.1 it doesn't work'
He gave it to me and I've tried with my old monitor I know works and the computer towers blue light comes on and the fans spinning and everything it's just to showing up anything in the monitor. I've tried different cables that I know works. Can anyone help me? Any information that you need I'll be happy to give!
Thank you

Just to add I've tried speakers to troubleshoot and I don't hear any noise except from the computer tower which is a beep as I press on the start button. My monitor says 'there is no signal coming from the computer. Press on any key to wake it up'0

Damaged Video card video cable would be my guess .
Windows update might knock out the video card driver but it would still display basic settings in the BIOS / startup .
Boot and hold down Delete key or F8 key give any onscreen .0 -
Hi thanks for the reply!
When I tried this the first time the minitor didn't show anything up, the second time I did it after about 3-4 seconds the computer tower turned off.
Any ideas?

If the motherboard has onboard graphics then take the card out and try the onboard. Windows 8.1 is likely to be a red herring, if it doesn't even post then it isn't a Windows issue.0
