immersion heater- always making constant filling sound.

Our immersion heater always sounds as if it is filling all the time, however, it still seems to make the noise even when turned off.
It seems to be an issue with cold water loft filling tank as the overflow that comes out into the gutter is running all the time. It does not feel to be hot water that is coming out of the overflow.
Any rough idea what might be the issue might be?:beer: :beer:

Your immersion heater is not the problem.The ball !!!! valve in your cold water tank you mention, probably needs replacing.Best get it fixed quickly or it could overfill & cause damage.0
