I'm just posting this in the 2015 roadkill thread to hopefully encourage people but...

I've just returned from using (well breaking) the coin machine at my local HSBC branch to pay in my 2014 roadkill finds. I found a few reject coins the previous user had left behind so an added bonus.

My cash deposit receipt informs me that I deposited:

    319 x 1p £3.19
    86 x 2p £1.72
    143 x 5p £7.15
    42 x 10p £4.20
    114 x 20p £22.80
    10 x 50p £5.00
    22 x £1 £22.00

So a total of 736 coins and £66.06
I kept a running total of my roadkill finds (yes I am sad). My total was less than the cash deposit total, so I suspect that when the member of staff had to unclog the machine I ended up with some bonus coins.

So I can confirm that even without finding paper money, collecting roadkill is a worthwhile exercise.:)
