Trying to hook up my existing sky box and security camera to plasma tv?

Hi folks,
I have ordered a new basic plasma tv, plasma for the fact that we have a wee lad with autism and as we have another plasma the screen does seem tougher than LED tv, probably will sacrifice on features but durability is number one consideration.
It has the following connections, basic I know but hopefully will do.
SCART socket, 1 USB port and 2 HDMI sockets.
PC input socket.
Component video socket.
Composite.
Optical connection.
Headphone socket.
AV socket.
Ethernet connection.
Ok I have a basic Thomson sky box which is hooked up by scart to existing tv, as well as that I have a security camera which also uses a scart, but only one on new plasma.
Can I just take the aerial out from sky box and hook it up to aerial in of new plasma, I do realise that sky picture won't be as good as through scart? Then I would still have scart available for Security camera. I also believe that if this doesn't work too well, I can get a scart to digital converter if anyone knows the place to buy one at a good price? Will this converter then connect to HDMI cable to tv?
Thanks for any info and happy new year.

do you have sky hd?
if not id get a second hand box with hdmi out to connect to new tv
cctv via scart to new tv
or yes existing sky box via rf (aerial) out to new tv, and cctv via scart to new tv. (its quite a step back using rf (aerial and im personally not a fan of scart either, I use hdmi for everything now even my cctv)0 -
Thanks for reply.
No I don't have a sky HD box only a basic one, but that is a very good idea will look for another box when tv arrives so as to free up the scart.
Another little thing is this plasma tv has a component video socket av2, a red and white on this av2 for audio, then a red (pr) blue (pb) and green (Y,V) type rca thingy.
At the moment I use a RCA type audio/video cable (red and white for audio and yellow for video) can I use the existing type of cable with the new plasma?
Thanks yet again.

john yes you can, audio left and right and yellow video
also what package do you have with sky, you may find they give you a new box, new deal if you was to have a little think to yourself and give them a call, as im assuming you have been with them a number of years and have not took advantage of any deals.0 -
