APD refund for children - ibound flights?

We've booked a return flight to Greece in May next year. Heading out with Easyjet and coming back with Jet2 so booked as two single tickets / routes.
Easyjet have contacted us to say we can have a refund for APD on our childs flights, but no contact from Jet2.
First question is would we even be entitled to a refund on the Jet 2 flight as it's place or origin is Greece and not the UK? Had a quick look and APD is applicable on inbound flights if you stay in the UK for 24hours or longer, which obviously we would be, but is that only for return flights?
And second question would be whether or not Jet2 are honouring APD refunds for children? I know they "allow" you to claim back the APD if you need to cancel a normal flight but charge an admin fee which is usually more than the APD anyway so not really worth it.
Thanks

Air Passenger Dity is only charged on passengers departing the UK, there will be no UK APD on your inbound flight with Jet2, so no refund due.
The 24 hour rule you are talking about applies to people connecting internationally. For example Frankfurt-Heathrow-San Francisco would not attract any UK APD as long as the connecting flight departs Heathrow within 24 hours of landing there.
Jet2, like easyJet are arranging refunds children's APD, but it doesn't apply to your flight.0 -
Thank you for the quick reply. I didn't think we would get a refund, but just got a bit confused when I saw the 24 hour info.
The APD wouldn't have been more than a few pounds on the outbound flight with EJ, so I didn't want to call Jet2 as it would have cost me more than I would have got back even if I had been due anythingnso I'm glad I was able to get an answer here. Thanks.Lea
