getting Sky HD - new TV not here yet

About 3 weeks ago I ordered a 50'' Panasonic Viera Plasma. The shop is a local one and they said they had a waiting list and the TV should be here in a 7-10 days. I saw the offer from Sky to get the HD box for £199 so I ordered it yesterday and it's getting fitted on Tuesday. My dh had a look at various websites and the Panasonic TV's are nearly all out of stock, so I expect they must be in demand and that's why it's taking so long. The shop is telling us they're expecting a delivery any day. My question is, if the TV's not here by Tuesday, can Sky connect up my normal (non HD)TV to the new Sky HD box. If so, is it easy enough to reconnect it to the new TV when it comes (the shop will set up the TV for us anyway). Or should I just postpone the fitting until the TV actually arrives (the sky box has already been paid for).
