catalyst control centre doesn't need to be running, avast will whack up the cpu during an update, but if working correctly should settle down very quickly and updates should be infrequent (or you can make them less frequent)
The system and svchost processes, you either need to expand the columns to view paths, or use process explorer to delve any deeper.
It's only a partial screenshot, stretch it to fill the screen for screenshots, you're missing essential detail off, the performance tab also tells a fuller story.Don't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0 -
I only installed avast yesterday. Previous to that I had Microsoft security essentials.
Yeah Firefox is a memory hog. Always has been.
Just restarted. Avast ran and for around a minute CPUS usage was 100% then avast stopped and it's now fluctuations between 10 and 50% with nothing open (I'm replying to this on my phone).
Disabled CAtalyst and a few of the pointless HP processes that I've never used and never will.Sigless0
