  • Great APG Wombling today.
Three receipts totalling £5.76 plus 18p on our own receipt.
One of them for £3.23 was on a screwed up receipt. Any tips for straightening it out or do you not bother?
Does everyone fill out their genuine details when claiming or am I being naive/foolish to put my real name/address/email?

I have never done the Arseda thing as we are nowhere near one. So sorry I can't answer that Gerry. You don't have to do that with Mr T price promises or Mr S brand matches.

The other day at work I went to pick up what I thought was a bit of rubbish to put in the bin but it was half a packet of chewing gum.

Yesterday I went round to my sisters and snapped one of her receipts for CoS, so 1p there.

Today's wombles came from the tips jar. Haven't checked it in a few days and had a whole £10 in there. Which felt very nice indeed.

Ooh - got some mega YS bargains as we were about to leave the SM. Saw the sticker lady and she was reducing fresh items like sushi, salads, sandwiches and doughnuts....mmmmm...nom nom

Spent £1.30 (real cost would have been £16.57!!!) Hadn't had dinner, so thank you very much Morrison's. Enough left for brunch tomorrow too :D

Also got treated by the butcher working the late shift - asked for a big cut of beef to feed the hoards tomorrow as DH's cousins and families are coming over for dinner. Priced up it was over £27, but he took pity on me and reduced it by £8.00 (must wear that dress more :rotfl:) Anyway, I now know he's got next week off....

I've wombled a head of lettuce, 7 cucumbers, and a bagful of carrots from a gentleman in our church. I cycled by as he was checking his tomatoes, we got chatting, and he cut, harvested, and dug out the produce for me. Hurray! I'll give him a bunch of dahlia's later on, as his flowers were not doing too well, and mine are abundant.

Dds are constantly snacking on carrots and cucumbers now.

4 receipts with 6, 5, 2, and 1 unclaimed points on. Last week, I managed to gain another 120 points on my loyalty card, due to a 100 point voucher, and a few receipts with unclaimed points. I don't dare hand in more than 4 receipts at a time, afraid the cashier will be difficult.

The supermarket is currently being renovated, and they have moved to a large tent (pavillion?) on the parking lot. The bin and the cardboard box area are now out of line-of-vision from the Reception desk, so I feel more at ease looking through boxes and top of bin for discarded receipts.

12 plastic tubs with tightfitting lids from business lunch (soups). I'll be making soup tonight from the carrots mentioned above, so these tubs come just in time!
4 tubs with soup still in them (unopened), for freezer.
4 small sandwiches (my lunch tomorrow)
1 large chicken salad (unopened), value €9.40 (GBP 6.80), which will be dh's lunch tomorrow.

Off now to see if I can womble some left-over macaroons and apple pie

Evening all - I've enjoyed reading some of these posts as I am a wombler and didn't even know it until I heard the term being used! My favourite way of collecting Tesco receipts is at the self-service tills, and usually the best tills to go to are at the Tesco express stores as they generally don't keep them as tidy as the big stores do but...oh my word, do I feel like walking out with the bins that are full of receipts, it really greaves me to see them full...all those points to be had!!

The only one I'm not brave enough to go for are the McDonalds bean stickers, I don't feel as though I can be very discreet with picking up some random stranger's cup just to get a free cup of tea...I might do one day!

Just waiting for my call from Deal or No Deal which I applied for.....along with thousands of others no doubt!
Debt as of Sept' 2015 (LBM!): £36,351  (sickening)
Monthly outgoings on debt alone: £1243/month

We're on the right path, we got ourselves here..we're a bit lost, but we'll find our way back again!

DH's friend who works for a big food manufacturer brought round a selection of goodies this evening for us, as he is allowed to select from products with short sell-by dates, discontinued lines or surplus stock. As long as he can manually carry the items, he can help himself :T

Eight chocolate puddings, a tub of spreadable cheese, a block of butter, twelve fat-free yogurts, a dozen white chocolate mousse and six Greek-style fruit yogurts. Short dates but I doubt they'll last long :rotfl: BTW his company is a BIG food manufacturer and there was a variety of branded products and own-name items, which I think shows that sometimes the SM own-brands are made by the big boys, but just cost less to buy. Or, in my case are frreeee! It's got to be about £6.00-worth of yummy stuff. Happy days :D

Oh, and four eggs from our feathered ladies. TTFN x

Sadly, all the macaroons and apple pie had been scoffed by the people in the meeting.

On a healthier note: I've wombled a mandarin from the office fruit basket!

And I've found a receipt with 4 unclaimed points at the nursery entrance.
