I too am a womble. I didn't realise there was a thread dedicated to it :j

Wombling round my way is excellent. I made over £12 in PPs on Saturday (2 at £5+) at my local tesco, as well as a few hundred points. What is wrong with people??

Love wombling at sad too, much money to be made there, but with 50p pot noodle and soup offers it's not great at the mo.

Went walking but not really passed any shops, am changing my focus to the pavement a few yards in front of me, so hopefully something will jump out at me soon.

Had visitors tonight who brought McD coffee and left the cup so I nabbed the sticker when they'd gone, probably wouldn't have thought about it without this thread so I know it's not real wombling but better than nothing.

It so is wombling! You could take the view that for every free Mcds coffee your wombled beans bring you, transfer the equivalanet into your wombling account. Thats what I have done this month. I've already paid £10 over that way & through Nectar points. Im almost at another £5 too.

However, I did bring home a very nice metal fork on Saturday and have added to my elastic band stash:D
How does the points thing with receipts work please?

    Arilx

So first of all. Next time you drive to a car park, have a look for any loose change left behind around the coin machines. Perfect op to check the machine legitimately. Congrats on your fork. What do you do with the bands? Kids around here put those on their scooter some have hundreds.
The points thing is, if you find receiepts for supermarkets, and other retail outlets like Costa etc, take them to customer services and ask them to add them on for you. It has been pointed out to me that it is far safer to Womble points on receiepts where the customer paid cash just in case there are any issues regarding stolen cards. If you are adding on someones reciept and they paid with their card & the card then gets nicked, it could be thought you had something to do with it if you have reciepts of theirs. I just read that on another thread re wombling.

PP as in price promise? Wow thats excting. What an excellent total. I have only ever found one price promise, I find a lot more brand match coupons. Think its because my nearest Ts is a metro so people dont spend the same per transaction.

    Yes Price Promises.

I used to keep a monthly wombling record a while back - but went through a dry spell and gave up

Good old days I used to make £150+ per month from trolleys, APGs, PPs, points etc

They are litter louts in my local supermarkets but for that I am quite thankful :)

£150 a month is going some. Hopefully this year you will start to see those levels again. Would be amazing.

Linz - a good day there!

Thanks for the tip about cash receipts, but I guess the price promise ones will be ok.

I might have to check our dustbin to see if there are any more McD cups in there, feel empowered, haha.

Oh absolutely. The price promise ones don't have any identifying stuff on them I don't think? Neither do brand match. I've even found that some of the coupons that say 300 extra points to card x if you spend £20 etc work fine in my card. So I don't think they care. Also your friend may give you a coupon in good faith so how could they police that anyway?

    Hi like this idea!

Do you take 'unclaimed points' receipts to the shop and say you didn't have your loyalty card with you? Or something else? How do you know they are unclaimed?

    Any other ideas?

    Thank you
Just ask the Customer Service desk to add the points onto your card; you don't have to give a reason. I put some fuel in my car today and used an 8p of a litre voucher then remembered that I had a double fuel points voucher at home. Went into the store a few hours later and got them to add the points on - simples!!
