Not a true womble but a very nice man bought me a poppy for Remembrance Sunday in the petrol station at the weekend. I went to pay for my petrol and they had a collection tin on the counter (first place I'd even seen any for sale this year), so I picked one up, only to discover my purse was empty :( I put it back and sadly admitted my poverty to the cashier, when the chap in the queue behind me popped some change into the tin and handed me a poppy...what a lovely bloke!

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Sugar baby - I'm glad you had a lovely time with your daughter.

Sazzie -welcome back. Glad you are feeling motivated right now.

Foxholes - £3 is not to be sniffed at.

Dizzy - how kind people can be.

My husband had a good one today. He had a headache so popped into the chemist but on finding he only had 48p in cash on him (we normally buy the cheap shop brand version from the supermarket) at 24p) he went to leave. The chemist stopped him and accepted the 48p instead of the £1 they were on sale for. How kind. It goes to show it is worth shopping in small shops as what supermarket would ever do that?

Found a penny on the pavement on the way to school this morning, and a poppy (to replace the one the kids bought for Sunday's Scout parade, and promptly lost ).

    Hello Everyone,

its been quiet from me lately.

Im not sure if this is a womble or not....

My mam renewed her home insurance and as part of the deal got a fair amount of money off, cashback through Quidco and Meerkat Movie vouchers for a year.

She doesn't go to the cinema much so has given them to me. So i now have 2 for 1 cinema tickets, once a week until this time next year!

I'm not sure whether it will be allowed but the cinema I go to in the city centre has its cheap day on a Tuesday. tickets are £3.50... the meerkat movie vouchers can be used on Tuesday and Wednesday. So technically me and someone else can go for £3.50 total if i can use the 2 for 1 code. However, i know that certain places probably have a t&c about using discount codes on cheap days.

I have also been very busy at carboot sales and on Ebay selling wombled items i received when helping a family friend clear a house. The items were going to be thrown away, alot still brand new in boxes and protective wrapping! Ive given away what was wanted to family and friends. The rest is either being sold or given to charity. So far £130 has been made and im hoping to do another carboot in the next few weeks to clear some more of it.

    Thanks, Sophie

  • 15p wobbled from my boyfriend who leaves certain change lying around everywhere because he doesn't want it but 2 weeks into the month complains that he has no money.:rotfl:

I've tried to get him onto the wombling train with me with no luck.

I also for 20p in the footwell if my car. not sure it counts as i must have dropped it at some point, it was in the drivers side.

I'm not sure if any one has mentioned it but both quidco and topcashback are doing daily competitions if anyone is interested in entering!

I've been reasonably organised this week and uploaded a couple of receipts to COS, only for the 1p draws, but you have to be in to win. Nothing I really wanted on the offers currently.

Nice to hear about the kindness of strangers for the poppy and at the chemist.
Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

I got my CC vouchers through, and although I have spent much much less at the tills since the last round of vouchers, I have been quite good at wombling receipts. So £14 of vouchers instead of my usual £3/£5.

It will keep the kids in candy canes this christmas!

So I was able to fill my car up today and it was covered by my nectar points, so I didn't have to spend a penny.
