Any thoughts on the best choices in the Torbay area, apart from Haven Devon Cliffs?

I'm a fan of Hoburne, so park 210 would be my suggestion. Not as full on as Haven but lovely parks, always been exceptionally clean, nice warm pools... and generally work out quite a bit cheaper than Haven.

Can any one recommend a site in Brittany or Normandy area? We don't mind going to Caen, roscoff or cherbourg ports, ideally we would like to travel no more than a hour and a half once we get off the ferry if possible but would consider a bit further for a good site. We have been to Chateua des ormes and had a great time. Any recommendations greatly received, my children are 11 and 6 if that helps.

Ranolien is nice, we enjoyed it there :)

Whats wrong with Haven Devon cliffs? Thats on my list of potentials...

Nothing at all - we like it so much that we've only tried one other park, in fact (in Dorset). I thought it might be nice to try somewhere different but still in the Torbay area.

    Duinrell and Newquay.

Went to prestatyn, Hafyn Y Mor and Minehead last year. Could miss Hafyn Y Mor but the other 2 were brilliant.

I am booking one for my parents too. The only date they can go is 6th April so booking theirs before I book mine as not too optimistic about that date.

It's a very popular park so they're probably looking for backup options ;)

These are my choices - anyone have any feedback on them :)

    Golden Coast - Woolacombe
    Parkdean Challabborough Bay
    Beverley Bay Paignton
    Haven Devon Cliffs
    Butlins Minehead

    Thanks

Butlins Minehead is great! I loved it

We're not doing it by region we did it on a site by site basis (yes this was time consuming for me and probably not the most logical way). Ended up with it being between Weymouth and Wales! 1st choice Weymouth 2nd choice Wales. Was actually looking at Hafan y Mor for second choice which someone was talking about earlier in thread, hope it is good there! Thinking Parkdean Warmwell for first choice :)

I booked Devon cliffs for the first May bank hol through the break free promo earlier, and am hoping to book somewhere for the late May bank hol through the sun-thinking Dorset/Somerset/hoburne Cotswolds as they are within a 2-3 hour drive and we will probably have work on the Friday.
  • PHEW i had a mini panic there!!

I've never ever had a bad Sun Holiday - But i know a few people have had bad experiences so i'm always nervous booking. We aim to go somewhere new each time :)

ParkDean newquay has been my favorite so far :)
