Well we didn't get out in the end and the wind has persisted all day and still blowing. Thought it was safer to stay put and Lottie is very nervous of the wind too, we have had to put her on a lead in the garden its that bad.

Well done on your win firefly, the GK's will love it. Had a book win today from CTW.

Hope the wind is beginning to die down for you. Don't blame Lottie for not liking it. I find very strong winds frightening. Much better to stay in Sylvia.

We managed to go out a walk and get some washing dry without it blowing away! Wind calmed down a bit but supposed to come back tomorrow.

Glad you're getting your iPad Sheils I'm still having trouble with mine since the update and I tried asking in techie forum but it was just a load of jargon to me! They knew what they were talking about....I didn't!

Alfie, my dad is itching to be in the garden too. He keeps looking out of the window and looking at the few flowers that are left in the garden.

We had to get an ambulance for my dad last night. As the cancer has now gone to his adrenal glands they offered him a strong dose of chemo to try and stop it spreading further but warned he was more prone to infection and if he had a temp it was a 999 call. Well sure enough he picked up an infection! It was a nightmare getting him to hospital for treatment as he didn't want to go in incase we left him in there but he needed X-ray etc. Anyway we managed to calm him down and get treatment and they allowed him home. We will have to put his palliative care in place and ensure he is treated at home as it's just stressing him out.

I got all excited today when a parcel man walked up the path with a big parcel until he asked if we could take it in for next door! Oh well, maybe next time!

Well done on the wins yesterday,I have been busy at work but have a half day today. Don't start till 2 so relaxing this morning.Sorry to hear your dad got an infection and it was nightmare for you wingo.Let's hope the next time the postman delivers a parcel it's for you and a nice surprise.It's been very wet and windy here the last couple of days.I was watching some workman cut down a tree in my dinner break yesterday but they had to give up as the wind got too strong. Such a lovely big tree but it was struck by lightning last year and it killed it. So they have to cut it down.It must be hundreds of years old as it has a huge trunk. I hope they plant another one in it's place.

Been wet night as usual , dry at the moment but windy!


Sorry to hear about your dad wingo. Cancer is such a dreadful disease. Hope he is feeling a bit better now.


I love trees indie but glad we had our largest ones cut down last year as would have been panicking in this wind. Our huge Rowan tree had died anyway.

Good morning all. Looks like a lovely sunny day here at the moment, the wind seems to have died down at the moment too so going into town.
