Aw that's awful about the poor man leanfun
That wind is certainly damaging. I took DD and her friend to pictures and on way there were accidents galore due to the wind and when we came out the front door was blocked by fire brigade. Not sure why but someone said it might be the sign above pics blowing down.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -

Good morning everyone!
Hope you are all ok on this Sunday morning.
Well, the edge of the Storm Desmond wind is still whipping
up around my abode
and apparently rain is expected later.
Thankfully here in the South we have got away with little
damage compared to some parts of the country.
My thoughts are with those who have been and still are
being affected by the storm - please stay safe and dry in
these severe weather conditions.
Just sat here watching the news - can't believe the
devastation this storm has caused.
Will pop by in a while - take care all.

Hi everyone
Safe and well here after Storm Desmond. According to the weather forecast meant to be dry for today before the rain comes back later tonight.
I saw on the news last night about Cumbria and Scottish Borders - terrible scenes. I'm not sure if any area would be able to cope with 2 months worth of rain in 24 hours bearing in mind that it has been wet for days before this.
Read the news about the old man who was killed
Keep safe everyoneA good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Morning all. It's still fine here and wind has dropped.
Wingo sounded bad your way yesterday. Pleased you got home safely.
FireFly hope your DHs son was not flooded. It must be bad enough getting around in a flooded area.
Yes 3 for holidays agree not a lot can be done with all that rain. Friends near Manchester say the new defences for their river had been holding.
Rose good thing you have your shopping in.
Shells pleased to hear you are having a great time
Good luck everyone.0 -
Good morning all, I do hope that you are all safe after the storm. It seems to have passed over here now and have a lovely sunny day.
Glad your DH was OK coming home leanfun, just seen it on the news about the old man, how terrible for his family and right before Christmas too.
