Thanks everyone but not going until Sunday. Looks like DD's boyfriend is coming with us too now. Going to meet him at last tomorrow. He is coming back from Portugal tonight. He is always working or out on call as a retained fireman and we are often away as you know. Looking forward to meeting him as everyone says how nice he is. TBH he sounds a bit like my DH!


I wouldn't need drinkies to make a mess of saying that Alfie.


Leanfun I had 2 children who crawled early and walked at 9 months and seemingly I was the same. Makes life difficult for the parents!

Your DD's boyfriend sounds lovely sheils ...... DD will be
excited that he's back from Portugal tonight. Are you
going to choose a hat soon?

Took myself off to my NHS breast screening appointment
earlier today (I go regularly every 3 years). It took no time
at all, was not uncomfortable and the staff were wonderful
as always.

Never had cancer but at least the option is there to have
a mammogram ... hopefully my results will be ok again.

Have a lovely evening all, I'm just going to tease my
puddy cat for a while ....

Lol Alfie. Think DD's bf must have spent most of his holiday texting her! Her phone never seemed to stop bleeping. She is excited - he should be home in a couple of hours as flew into East Midlands Airport.

Brrrr....winters on it's way! Was it as cold and dark this morning for you too fire**fly? I thought I had set my alarm wrong when I came down and saw how dark it was!

Aw it's lovely when babies are ready to walk leanfun. She's an early starter! Treasure them moments as they grow quickly!

That will be nice Sheils getting to meet your future son in law....I mean DD's boyfriend! Glad she has found someone nice Have a good time in Blackpool. I wanted to do the tower but we didn't get much time.

Enjoy your ham hock Rose My mum always makes something similar and there's always plenty to go around!

Love your pics you found Alfie! I can't say the tongue twister either! When we were kids my dad used to ask us to say...'Polish it in the corner' fast, and when it sounds like we swore he would tell us we are grounded!

The meeting went ok and got it sorted out (hopefully!) We will see how it goes.
DD2 got another gymnastics comp tomorrow in Durham. Suppose I best get some sleep!

Good Morning,


Was waken really early, so after tossing and turning for ages got up and now I am feeling tired!


Glad you had a good meeting at school wingo and hope they have sorted things out for you. I believe in dealing with teachers face to face.


Forgot it wouldn't be long until the clock changes FF. Not really keen on that as means our break excursions stop earlier in the day and we are stuck in hotel. Only got Edinburgh booked after Blackpool though.

Morning...... and a lovely one it is too.

I come on here everyday and love to read what everyone is up to. I rearly comment as i never have much to say. At the moment its school run, straight to work, finish work, straight to school, pick DD up, home, cook food, bed time stories, shattered!!
Not complaining though, i love it but dont want to bore you all....lol

Anyway i have something to say today. Went out with DH last night to bingo and we won £100 (lady near us won £18000). Haven't been to bingo for years. Also had a lovely book through the post for DD called 'Grandpa's Island'.

Swimming lessons this morning( for DD) then i really need to catch up on washing and tidying this house!!
