Back home feeling a bit glam lol with updo. Hairdresser who is a neighbour gave me a load of samples to try out and she has asked if I will go to a hairdressers show with her and model lol as I have long hair ( half way down my back and it is layered) I either look like Farah Fawcet Majors or put it up with a bulldog clip. When I blow it dry straight it is lifeless so electric rollers and curling tongs are a godsend. She wants to do my highlights again which I have not had for a few years as she said it will brighten up my face and stop my skin looking so dull. Don't know if that was an insult or a compliment lol but I have thick skin. Still dull and wet here but it is supposed to brighten up later.

sounds lovely rose & yes, I think you should go &
model, think as well highlights always brighten up the
skin tone so am sure she was being complimentary,
you are lucky to have long lovely hair :j

Ty ff. Was blonde untill I was mid 40's then hair started to darken it has gone from blonde/fair to fair/lightbrown. So for 10 years hair and skin has been dull in mid 50's. I always thought I would go silver in older age but it is not happening lol. so maybe highlights are the answer.

Just had a look at my answer ff it reminds me of Carly Simons song your so vain . Maybe I am as loads of others do. But I love my hair if anyone had to cut it now I would go nuts. Son hates the time I did cut it short. Probably the time his father and I split up
