We had a great evening at Memphis. At the beginning it was a bit of a shock as it was a bit loud for us oldies but great seats in row J. Matt Cardle was very good throughout the show. I did watch some of the X Factor the year he won - five years ago! Really enjoyed the evening.

Checked emails last night and I have won a ticket to the Radio a Times event at Hampton Court for the archers! I entered this for my SIL. Just heard from here and she is delighted.

All the blackberry picking and baking takes me back. Will try to find some at weekend.

Hi everyone, hope you are all OK. Looks like it might rain here later on so off out before it starts. Went to Dalton Park yesterday to look for a Waterproof winter coat but did find anything, a lot of the big names only go up to a size 16 which is a bit of a shame. Called at the factory outlet in Peterlee on the way home and got a lovely Regatta one so well pleased.

Glad you had a good time last night leanfun it sounds lovely.

Have you seen the CTW for a jam making kit firefly, I am doing that for GD as she lovely making jam.

Loving all the pics thank you. Had a good laugh at your storm ones Alfie. Been fine here.


DH decided it is time to start thinking about a new car so been googling stuff for him most of afternoon. Doesn't seem long since we bought this one but it has well over 40,000 miles on it now so will be starting to cost us money soon I expect and is out of warranty etc. Need a newish, reliable car when you travel as much as us.
DH decided to leave the jam for now as he had garden stuff to do but maybe next week.
Anyone had a win?

We were going out today but the the rain came not as bad as your pics Alfie but enough. Just going to shops but looks like rain again.

Sylvia I've been looking for a new coat or Jacket. There's a factory outlet at Dover and did look at Regatta but was not lucky. Great you found one.
Saw a comp for a dog walkers rain coat! We have no dog so didn't go for it but it looked great for the rain liked the colour too.

Sheils good luck looking for a newer car. Ours had over 100,000 miles on clock when husband bought his ' bargain of the year' but he spent ages looking. He's well pleased with it though.

What with rain I've caught up with the ironing and watched some tennis.
