I heard the rumbling of thunder in the early hours this morning but too tired to look out.
Everyone deserted me today....DH went to town with DD1 & DS and my niece took DD2 to pictures so just pottered around the house. I got the shock of my life earlier though, I left front door unlocked while waiting for my niece and a man walked straight in! :eek: I don't know why I walked towards him, he could have done anything! It turns out he thought it was my neighbours house from two doors down as I let her park her car on my drive while workmen are there and he saw her car and thought she lived at mine! From now on the door will remain locked!

Thanks everyone. Just popped in to say we will be off about 9.30am.
We are only going as far as Oulton (near Leeds) today. Hoping to do a bit of canal walking. Part of the A1 is closed for repairs until at least 11am so bit worried about that. Few other routes we can use but will take longer so will see.


You are up early Alfie. I couldn't sleep last night don't know what was wrong.

Have had someone walk into house and caravan in past wingo and I remember some of our friends walking into neighbours houses too.
Had some peeps at door few weeks ago with a key to view house in parallel street. The key said Avenue on it and should have said Road. They did ring bell though as they thought house looked lived in!


Going to do one or two comps before DH wakes up.
Will be popping in to see how everyone is as I should have internet in all the hotels.

Ho Wingo what an initial shock for you. certainly calls for door locked. Great it turned out well.

Woke up to rain. We did sleep better last night and it's cooler today although a bit heavy.
