    Hi ya!!!

What a busy few weeks we have had.

With my birthday, DDs 3rd birthday, husbands 50th birthday and a weeks holiday, im now able to sit back and relax.

Glad everything went ok Wingo, now recover at your own pace xx (i did pop in to check on you)

We are umming and arring about going to live in the country!
Its something we have always talked about doing and as DD is getting older its now something we need to do sooner rather than later.
we have a lot of countryside and seaside around us now but feel we need more so are thinking of going more West or mid Wales.

Pros and cons please lovely people xxx
    Let's be happy!!

I wouldn't kitten. You will spend all your time being a taxi service to your DD and she will want to hang out with friends in years to come and be bored in country. (Was brought up in country myself)
My kids all had a great time living in town with plenty of freedom to meet friends whenever they wanted

YLove the cat pic Sheils. Perfect. All pics make me smile.

Wingo great to hear from you. DH was probably so pleased and relieved to have you home.

Rose pleased to hear from you and that you have been busy. Hope you enjoyed karaoke. I wish I could sing, it's a great gift.

Congratulations Fire fly and Rose on book wins.

I too arrived home to a parcel on the door step even though it's was Royal Mail.

It looks such a great book a present for my Niece's daughter. Never seen this book before but I will definitely buy some for Gk when they are a bit older.

Well what a day. DH was going to over to West London to buy a car new to him that he saw last week. It took us nearly two hours to get there. Then he had to drive away from dealers into heavy traffic! SIL lives that way so we called on her for a very very late lunch.

Traffic and number of people horrendous took hour an half to arrive home at six. Then it poured so much the pavement was flooded at the front of house! Wow.

Even so I doubt the rain has done much for the garden.

Kittencat we tried to move to a smaller town when our children were growing up but never managed re work. Sheils has a point about when children are older and they do grow up quickly. At your daughters age a good primary school is important. There are pros and cons to being in the countryside. How long commuting work is a big factor. Children ideally need to see both parents. My DH had a long drive to work and missed having dinner with ours at primary school age because they could not wait till he was home what with the traffic.

Well just finishing the wine we started last night!

Thought I had better pop in tonight as off early tomorrow so might not get in.

DD1's family arrived for their showers with no towels so had 7 towels on the floor and had to make a quick lunch for them as they were off to the cinema so not too pleased. Had to put towels in tumbler as didn't want to leave them wet.

Well done on your wins firefly, Rose and leanfun.

Sheila is right Katie you will just land up as a taxi service so I wouldn't go too far out.

Hope you managed to get the mag finished firefly.

Try and catch up with you later tomorrow.
Hope you get some rain for your garden Alfie.

    Take care Wingo.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

Good morning to everyone on this bright and beautiful
longest day of the year! :D

Hope you are all well. :)

Still no rain here folks but I remain ever hopeful! :p Earlier
there was a red sky but it's disappeared now!

:j Well done on the book win leanfun - it looks great. :j

Sylv - have a good trip to Yorkshire. :)

Kitten - there are certainly pros and cons to living
in the countryside - depending how far out you want to
    go.

I have the best of both worlds I suppose - just a mile
from beach and beautiful countryside but near enough
to civilization should I need it. I have wonderful
neighbours too who will always give me a helping
hand if needs be. Perhaps you could think along similar
lines? Hope my little input helps. :)

Well, off for my third  cup of coffee now - catch
up with you all later. :)

    Good Morning,

Don't know how to tell you this Alfie but we had lots of rain last night! Looking nice this morning although showers forecast for this afternoon. Hopeful weather will be nice for our little Southport break tomorrow. Usually go in June and weather is scorching but dry will do.

I would have been fuming about towels Sylvia, you are just too nice. Sorry forgot to answer your question about Scottish schools and yes the kids do go back after exams. DD has another 2 weeks until the holidays as new school year started at beginning of month.
Hope you have a lovely break and don't spend it all cleaning and doing other jobs.

Well done on your book win too leanfun. Hope your DH got the car he wanted.

    Couldn't resist the above pic.
Will be taking dad his Fathers Day card and present later and trying to get housework/ironing up to date.
    Have a lovely day everyone.
