The Compers Inn (part 45)

Morning all. Hate to say it but it looks sunny here and was warm out yesterday.
Hdh we have a very small light qualcast mower that picks up grass bought cheap from Homebase. Just looked on their site and its £49.99 now. I am sure we paid £30. It says it weigh 8kg. I am sur as trimmer would do the job but I would not have to want to pick up the grass or you could just leave it. Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope life continues to improve for you.
Hope everyone has a luck day.0 -
Hi, lovely and sunny but very cold here. At least its dry so not complaining.
Loving the pics firefly & Sheils, thanks.
HDH - leanfun has just posted what I was going to say about Homebase mowers for about £50. We have one and they are great. Think you would find a strimmer very hard on the back, we do. Just looked and Argo do one for the same price if that is more local to you. Sorry to hear about your accident and hoe you continue to improve.
Rose - Sorry you haven't been feeling well. Big hugs and get better soon.
Its now RAINING. How changeable the weather is at the moment.
I have so much to do before our hols and can't seem to focus. Must write a list
Hope everyone else is OK and good look for the rest of April.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -

Chilly here too. Glad the snow's blown over Shiels, at least we haven't any of that.
Gratz on your win Indie.
Is the qualcast mower one with a plastic blade Lean? I spotted one on Argos that looks really dinky and light but some of the reviewers mentioned blades breaking and not being able to replace them. It really does look just the job apart from that.
Similar problem with the strimmers, I find a nice dinky one I like and can't find replacement spools/line.
Maybe I need hubby to take me to homebase.2018 - £562 2019 - £130 2020 - £276 2021 - £106 2022 - £1400 -

I had one of the ones with plastic blade and it was c**p. I have one with wheels and a metal blade, http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/garden/lawnmowers/qualcast-1200w-electric-rotary-lawn-mower---32cm-310471
think this is the link you need, sorry not very good as this.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Thanks Sylvia for the link. I didn't think to try to do a link.
Hdh sure it has a metal blade. We have had ours a while and I have mistreated it. We have a grazy paving through grass and a humpy bit so it's had plenty to go at and even though I have not maintained or really cleaned it much it still goes. It's so easy to get out and use. We do have an extension lead. Might be worth you having a look. Look on line to check if they have one in your nearest store.0 -
Thanks very much for the advice Sylvia and Lean. I'll get hubs to run me to homebase so I can have a play with one now I know what I'm looking for.2018 - £562 2019 - £130 2020 - £276 2021 - £106 2022 - £1400
