Just been texting DD to see if she had her key as she was away for the night and we are going to nearby town for walk and shopping.
Thought she meant she had had a change of plan and was just down the road at a friends instead of miles away where she was supposed to be. Turns out I'm texting away to her and her friend and her are in her bedroom! Don't know how they got in without wakening us.

Morning all :) Sunny day here today too so gonna make the most of it today! Got my cleaning up done and my washing out as DH in bed now after nightshift. Just waiting for kids to get their lazy backsides out of bed then will go to park. Why do kids want to sleep for most of the day nowadays!

Hope the day goes quickly for those who are back at work xx

Good luck in the garden leanfun and hdh :) (I'm so jealous! I wish my garden was done! :p)

I've been looking through your hotel pics Sheils, it looks lovely :) I bet you've already chosen your dessert eh? :D Hope you get a sea view room, that would be amazing!
Lol @ your DD sneaking back in her room! :D My eldest never ventures out of hers!

Glad you are enjoying the art mag Katie :) My girls seem to enjoy art too. I should have bought it for them. My youngest always goes on an art app and learns from there too.

I don't blame you buying the marmalade nowadays fire**fly, you are always busy with your herbs and other stuff, buying is quicker! We do take a lot of things for granted nowadays, (me especially!) My tin opener broke the other day and I realised how lost I was without it and what would I have done years ago! :o It would be nice to go back to years ago for a week to see how we would cope without internet, phones, microwaves etc! :D

I turned the internet off last night as the kids were arguing. I only put it back on this morning but I was restless myself last night wanting to go online! I had a Wierd dream too that someone was trying to kill me and I was hiding from them in bushes! I woke myself up with my heart beating really fast!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

lol sheils @ texting DD & she's in her bedroom :rotfl::eek:

yes, wingo, funny how we do take a lot for granted now :D
was talking to a pal this morning & we were on
about escalators & automatic doors opening for us,
saying how years ago we walked up stairs,
opened doors etc in shops etc,
now, if we go in a shop/whatever I/we stand waiting for the
door/s to open as we've become so used to them opening
as for walking up stairs in a shop!!
it's unheard of nowdays I think
I remember the old wakefields store in the city that
had 3 floors & we used to have to walk up them!!
would be strange to go back for a week
without all the gadgets/etc we take for granted
    nowdays :rotfl:

Just back home had to phone dentist to see if I could get an emergency appointment. Once I had explained that my crown had came off my tooth was told to come in and wait. Now have a temporary over tooth . Had a new impression taken and have to go back in two weeks.

Shame about the tooth rose - they are costly. SIL had same thing happen to her last month.

Wingo, DD had to go into garage to find spare back door key (hidden in safe place!) as we had locked the outer front door and she only had key for inner door as we only lock outer one when no-one is coming back.
Really don't know how we didn't hear them both as garage door makes a noise.

Had a lovely walk in the sunshine and got huge shop at Tesco.( had a double points voucher ) Spent DHs L2S vouchers at Wilkos too.
Tickets for Dunoon arrived this morning so will need to decide when we want to go.

I went to visit !!!!!! Turpin's grave when we were in York last time. Seems strange they hung him and then he got a large plot in cemetery.
    Tourist attraction now!
