lol shiels never heard that saying for years

    I hadn't either rose.

For anyone who doesn't know the meaning, it is a salutation wishing long life and prosperity. Also to do with bringing coal to peeps houses on New Year.

I got up early to get something done but I'm too cold and can't stop sneezing so been watching some films waiting for kids to get up! :o
I enjoyed watching the Elvis programmes last night fire**fly but the autopsy one made me feel sad. I like to remember him as the gorgeous hunky star he was. :)
Let's hope the ice clears up for you soon. My dad once slipped on ice and broke his wrist so I bought him them shoe grippers but he wouldn't wear them! :o

Hopefully you will get something nice for yourself next time you go away sheils :) I never seem to get anything for myself either when I'm with DD!

Have a good night Rose, whatever your plans :)

I was hoping we could go out when DH finished work to go bowling or something but DH is not too happy with son for not going footy training so I doubt we will be going anywhere now! :( I don't blame him, I wouldn't have gone in this weather either!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Well asda shopping all done and son has taken steak pies away and three bottles of wine he was going to buy them as he only has a couple left from christmas. As I am drowning in the stuff told him not to buy any. So door is locked and I am in for the day. Have been invited to a party upstairs not made any promises to them will see how I feel later. That autopsy was sad wingo but I remember watching a recorded concert of him around april may time before he died and he looked awfull and I couldn't believe the weight he had put on. Reason I remember is that is the year I got married bonfire night 5th of november was arranging wedding and my mum was devastated?

I enjoyed the Elvis documentary last night also, tragic but I love how we will always remember him as Elvis. It just wouldn't be the same if he had lived to be 80 odd. He went out on a high as all the greats seem to and that's how we all remember him.

Bit of a rubbish day today, tried to get round the supermarket and couldn't manage it. So come back and curled up in bed doing some comps. Would be lovely to win something today, could do with cheering up.

Looking forward to seeing the new year in with my husband and girls later on.
