Just had a policeman at door (he looked about 12) Did I see anyone running across our courtyard from the church end. He was absolutely out of puff so they must have been after someone.0

Good morning all. Still busy here as Sister is not going home until tomorrow. She is upstairs doing my ironing at the moment :T:T
Hope you all have a lovely day. I getting behind again with the comps. Love having visitors but it throws you out of your stride somehow.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -

Have seen that on TV but never in real life rose. DD says she saw police arresting someone down our town the other week and they let him go to open police car and he bolted! They didn't bother to chase him though :rotfl:(DD said they looked too fat to run )
Sylvia could you send your sister round to do some of my ironing pleaseMar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

lol shiels no this cop was skinny seen more meat on a butchers pencil. That is the second time it has happened to me there is a motor bike school yards up the road and it got broken in to a couple of years ago and when the alarm went of the crooks stayed there until police turned up then they started running when they saw the car and one of them headed into our courtyard and must have jumped the wall and cops wanted to know which way he went.0

Back home. While I was out decided to go in to Asda for a few things whilst awaiting online delivery and spent a fortune. Bought another thre e 1LTR bottles of Smirnoff vodka as it is on at £15 again so got six (including 3 from delivery)for pressies and other things. Also got five packs of postcard as they were in the reduced shelf at 10 pence so got loads now lol (50 in a pack) and bought a top. So where I was going in to spend about £5 spent a lot more. (note to self take money out and leave debit card at home) Anyone got a wem yet?0

Hi all
The eclipse was brilliant here. Very eerie. At one point the seagulls went mad then really quiet. Didn't go dark but it felt like dusk. Saw it through an X ray film that someone brought out.Let's be happy!!0 -
Sounds like you have spent a lot but got some good bargain Rose, well done.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0

Well done on the bargains Rose
I agree the police, dr's, nurses, teachers get younger every day!
Did you get a good view of the eclipse fire**fly? It was cloudy here so couldn't see anything. Unlike last time when I thought the world was ending!
Sorry to hear it was cloudy your way too Sheils. Apparently the northern lights were shining over Saltburn pier too, would have gone to look if I had known.
Sylvia, when your sis has finished doing Sheils ironing will you send her to mine too!I have a sis like that too though, she would do anything for me & others
I've just been to her DD's party where my sis had done millions of cakes and she sent me home with most of them! I've already put on half a stone since Xmas!
Lucky you kitten getting a good view of the eclipse! Mind you the birds all dissappeared here too! Eerie!
Just watching gogglebox and trying to type at the same time! It's funny tonight!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
