Best present?

My best gift was a beautiful China polar bear ornament (I'm polar bear mad) from dh, and my polar bear Pandora bead from my dds.

Oh, and Dave the talking minion, he was actually dd2's gift, but he has became a firm fav with the whole family!

From the three friends and family who believed me when I said the thing I really wanted this year was for them not to spend money on books for me (the only present that is an 'always sure fire winner'!), but instead donate that amount to a charity which provides books for children in one of the most violent parts of the world, Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I am lucky enough right now to have everything I need and want, so this year, my contribution will be to do without new books, and instead use our brilliant local library more, as well as getting good ones from car boots, jumble sales etc. Every time I get a book at low or no-cost next year, I'll donate the equivalent to these little chaps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XVt4ELNIB8

I got a new screwdriver with attachments, a lovely green rabbit from charlie bears and a tealight floral ornament thing that i really like.

My best pressants this year are my x2 grandbabies. A boy and a girl.
x2 families.
I have spent many hours knitting baby cardigans so it is lovely to see them now given out @ Christmas.

I only have one person in the world with whom I exchange gifts.

He was going to buy me an ipad Air and ordered it from Amazon. After many phone calls and emails Amazon finally admitted they had ***** his order and it had never left the Warehouse.

He rushed out and bought me a big bottle of my favourite perfume which cost an arm and a leg.

Still haven't got the new ipad as I told him to spend the money on a major service/MOT/titivation of his pride and joy - his 10 year old Lexus:A

My best Christmas present was a usb stick containing hundred of photographs of me and my brothers. .... taken by my parents/grandparents (most of which I had never seen before). My mum had spent months scanning them into the computer from boxes in the loft.
