2009 Ford Fiesta Whirring Noise

Hi
My new (to me) fiesta makes a whirring noise when you turn off the ignition. It doesn't stop quickly. You can be sat there ten mins later and it still is making it. Obviously it stops because it isn't making the noise when I go to it the next day.
The guy at the franchise didn't listen to it but said its common a lot of them do it. Didn't know why. Just sounds like a whirring coming from the dash.
I wondered if anyone here has any ideas? It's a fiesta titanium. Has a three month warranty and I haven't had it a week yet.
Thanks to anyone who can help

its probably the radiator fan, I have a Corsa and it does the same.0

Coolant levels OK? Is the aircon switched on?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Will have to check coolant, they told me they'd done it all but it's been dark everytime I've had chance, so lazy I know!!
Air con off. Thanks re radiator, good to have possible things to pin it to0 -
A couple of ideas:
- Some Fiestas have a small fan inside the dashboard to draw air in through a small dashboard vent and over the cabin temperature sensor.
- A spinning CD in the CD player?
I'm not sure that either should be making a noise after the ignition has been turned off.0 -
I honestly wouldn't worry. I pick my partner up from the train station most evenings and when the train is delayed I can be sat in the car for a while and hear the whirring noise you're referring to. It used to make me jump but am used to it now. I have a fiesta titanium with electric folding mirrors. When I lock the car they fold in and sometimes they even make a 'boop' type noise. Honestly don't worry!0

I have an older Fiesta so it may be different but mine often makes a noise after it is switched off. It appears to be the fan running for a few minutes and is particularly evident after longer journeys and on hot days. I don't notice it now as it is normal for the model.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0

Make sure you run the A/C every few weeks to keep the seals lubricated.0 -
There are many things it might be, the OP hasn't investigated enough to be able to give us enough information to go on.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
