Santander Slow To Open Account

in Budgeting & bank accounts
Applied for another 123 today, pressed send at 1221, received acknowledgement e-mail at 1222 and account open e-mail at 1223. How dare they keep me hanging on that long :D

    It was that fast when I opened a second one recently too, although when my wife did so on a Sunday evening it wasn't opened until first thing on the Monday.

    They my be quick to open an a/c but their darnded slow in getting my online passcode to me, even thou I requested this well before Xmas!!
    Why does it even need a separate request anyway, I joined online!

    They've had so many new customers for their 123 account its probably become second nature by now.


    TSB are quick too but Nationwide took a few weeks. Worth waiting for 5% accounts though :)
