Hand deliver or post job application?

Trying to apply for a job that only got advertised yesterday, my email has bounced as being blocked which maybe a good thing, I'm not technically minded to work out how to unblock myself from the external website directed to, to unblock myself!! meaning I get another go at writing cover letter or decide if I perhaps shouldn't bother as much as I'd like to be considered
I'm going to be close to store on Saturday - so guess I'm asking would you call into store with CV and letter or post it? Me presuming it will be open of course!
The advert does give an email address and also lists the store address as options to apply so perhaps expecting trouble with receiving emails at this time
Just wondering on opinions

I would certainly drop a copy of the application in. Maybe add a note to say you tried to e-mail but got an error message back. It shows you are determined to get the application in.0

What have you got to lose?Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Thanks guys, after fat club Saturday morning I know where I am going!!)0

I would check the email address - chances are you mistyped it.
Don't think I would hand deliver, as they'll likely think you're an attention seeking pain in the !!!!.0 -
I would worry about handing it in store this Saturday - with all the sales going on it might be manic and they may end up putting it down somewhere and then forgetting about it. If you post it it's more likely to get in the right hands0

I would try setting up a new email account and email it from there. It takes only a few minutes, saves you more time than that if it works.....(Make sure the address is still a professional one, rather than using your joke (e.g.) fluffybum@hotmail address.....)Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Or, phone the store on Friday or Saturday to check they are open (not today, obviously). Ask if it will be OK to drop off an application, and ask whether you should ask for the store manager, or if there's an office you should ask for.Signature removed for peace of mind0

I don't work in retail, but my manager always appreciates someone who makes the effort to hand deliver a CV, and will always take a few minuets to speak to the person to see what they are after/ what they can offer. Hand delivering shows that you are not 'sat on the couch' sending out CV's just to get the benefits. Unfortunately nowadays most shops have a centralised system for applications, so even if you went into the shop, spoke to the manger and gave them your CV, it is unlikely that A. The manager will have any say in your employment or B. That he will pass your CV on (after all, he will have to scan it in and sent it on etc etc which he probably won't have time to do).
Best bet, as others have said, try setting up a new e-mail address and resend the CV. Be sure to double and triple check the e-mail address and if it fails again try a friends e-mail. You might as well hand in a paper copy of the CV, but as noted above don't just think that that will be passed on, even if the manager says that they will.0 -
In addition to the others' comments, I'd observe that you need to comply with the requirements set down in the advert for submitting the application.
If they require it to be done electronically, then the message you're sending out by not using this method, is that you can't use technology and/or follow instructions. The clear risk to posting / handing in the application is also that it won't get processed in the electronic way and therefore you won't be considered.
Obviously, if you've tried all the above suggestions and there's still a problem with the website, then try to contact them and ask if there is a problem / alternative way to submit - but don't just give up at the first hurdle.0 -

This makes no sense whatsoever. How on earth could that be construed as being attention seeking?0
