Boots Sale

I am not going this year after the fights and shoving in Guildford, I will have a look online when I get up and for the first year ever I have decided that if I can order some goodies online then it was meant to be and if not then I wasn't meant to have anything!
Good luck everyone xx
My exact feelings. The Boots 75% sale used to be the highlight of my year (sorry that sounds sad!) since I stumbled upon it about ten years ago. However, the last couple of years have been really stressful and I've decided it really isn't worth it this year. I can't get to a store until after school drop off and last year Boots was decimated with nothing left by then!
However, there are a few things I would love to try and buy online. I just need to decide if I want to set my alarm early! I'd rather not so I'm just wondering - is there usually anything left by 6am?!
For those of you heading off to the sale - I hope you have a successful (and stressfree) trip. You may need a stiff drink afterwards!
Take care!0 -

Yes me too - wasn't it lovely!! You could just browse and buy whatever you wanted with no-one else around!0 -
Working now I can see it all0

Like Sarah if there's anything online for me then it's meant. Can't face driving miles in sub zero temp for a battle. Which is better store delivery or home... For actually receiving what you order?

Just come across this thread and smiled at the last few posts. My sentiments exactly. It was the highlight of my year. I would organise to get the day off work. Be there for opening armed with a list of who I buy for and the age their next birthday in an effort to keep on track
This is the first year I have not even looked to see when it was going to be or sussed out the local stores for the best stock.
Good luck to all going in hunt of a bargain
On looking back at the posts look at how many years we have been on here! Bargains in general are getting hard to come by as more and more have access to the Internet and social networking0 -

Heavens, you're brave, although I should think they have a very good selection. I'll be in the Dartford store tomorrow morning looking out for the greedy whatsit from last year.0 -

I was there last year and didn't see any fights or shoving. I did see some people loading up multiple baskets though (I'm talking 5 plus per person) AND people queuing pre opening time to get in. Maybe it wasn't so bad as I had a pushchair and took a laid back approach (and had to go down a ramp), it did look a little like horses off the starting blocks. Will give it a miss this year as end up buying loads of stuff I don't need and don't think my family / friends could stand any more smellies as gifts!:rotfl:0 -

In my experience they ship store delivery quicker as if you order before 6pm which I presume you will be doing it is delivered after 12 the next day.
So they have tight deadlines to work to whereas home delivery takes a few days, so my logic is you would be better off shipping to store...hope that helps!!
I hope you guys have fun at the sale I wont be visiting a store because people turn into cavemen after the last piece of meat!!0 -

I think iv had a change of heart...I may venture to the Crayford store, it's huge and had quite a bit in there, failing that bexleyheath! Maybe we shall cross paths like warriors in a lancing battle. I may even take my mum for protection...goddamn no one would mess with me then! One look and they would be puddles on the floorFinally buying my first house in 2015!:j
