Yeah I'd be interested to see how it pans out, but you'll have to remind me nearer the time :)

Personally the X-Trail is what I'm looking at next, great machines.
  • Pretty interesting debate really on the whole lease vs buy - really it just comes down to your circumstances and your budget.

    You could:

    A) Buy a decent banger for a couple of grand and it might run smoothly, might not though - and you're constantly losing money on the thing.

    B) Buy a new motor - if you can put down that outlay, I can't!!

    C) Lease a car - Yeah you get the advantage of a new motor and what not, but as people have said - it's basically a bottomless pit with no asset at the end. You can go on some finance types though that offer you the option to purchase the vehicle at the end on a balloon payment, so that could be an option.

You can of course buy nearly new too which is sometimes a really good idea.

    Just depends on YOU.

As for actual companies; so many leasing firms out there. Someone already said nationwide vehicle contracts, decent firm. I've been in touch with quite a few recently, and liked hippo leasing and alternative route finance (probably cos they're local to me though.)

seems a no brainer to me especially from a money saving point of view.

Buy! - not new but nearly new

unless you buy brand new and change your car every couple of years, leasing is more expensive.
