Putty or sealant for shed windows?

Hi.Have just bought a static caravan on a site which comes with a wooden shed.
Unfortunatly the 3 windows need replacing.Im going to use polycarbonate sheets and was wondering what is the best thing to use to stop the rain seeping in around the edges.
Would it be putty or some sort of sealant.
The sheets i am getting are 2mm thick and smooth.what would be the best way to trim them to a perfect fit please?
Many thanks

  • The best way to cut the sheeting is to lie them on a flat surface, put a straight edge on top of the sheet and score the material a few times, then snap off the excess , use clear silicon to seal .

But if I were you I would go to a glass supplier and get 3 bits cut to size (better job)
  • Use sealant too because that putty doesn't always last and gets evrywhere. Sealant leaves a much better finish and you can near enough guarantee a water tight seal. Get a clear sealant too, preferably made specifically for polycarbonate, there are plenty around. Hope this helps :)
