First rule of gambling...never ever use credit.

Anyway it's too late now. Generally (if you ask) a gambling site will refund the amount you deposited back to the card that was used and any excess can be paid to your current account, debit card, e-wallet or anything else.

If they insist it goes back to your Vanquis card you should try and spend it before requesting the withdrawal so you won't be in credit.

If you do go into credit you will be in breach of the T's and C's of the card. Anything could happen then it depends on what Vanquis do.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Especially if it's Vanquis. It's madness to borrow at their rate and pay the cash advance fee for gambling.

Normally it's a current account as for a debit card or e-wallet you have to make another deposit, albeit a small one.

Getting into a credit because of a refund is a norm and isn't against the T&C.

What does the credit limit have to do with the positive balance?

Why not ask the betting firm what they do regarding making payments back to credit cards?

I used to use Betfair and as HappyJ says they would only return the deposit amount back to credit cards and the rest you needed to use bank transfer/debit card.

Hi, not sure you can pay winning on to another card.

You could pay part winnings on to card, spend it then put more winnings on cards to keep within your 500 limit, hope that makes sense

If they allow withdrawing all money back to the CC, then it's up to you to decide.
That said, many bookmakers don't allow having two cards registered with the account, so the alternative might be only a bank transfer to your current account.

I think this is correct for Mastercard CCs only.

The funds should go back to your (funding) credit card and will show as a positive balance.

Not a lot different to you say, buying a new leather sofa for £500 tomorrow. Then in three weeks, the company says it can't supply it and will refund you, but it will take three weeks. Meanwhile you have to pay your credit card because the bill has come through and the due date is before the credit and you have to pay it.

So, you have a zero balance and then your credit arrives on your card.

However, I would keep my betting transactions away from the prying eyes of financial companies, you never know when it could be used against you. I bet some day, employers will have access to a sort of credit reference agency that monitors your spending patterns, after all, a lot of them (employers) run credit checks these days and if they can spend hours trawling your Facebook for info, you can be sure they'll try other things.
