after all the goings on with nearly all the major banks and building societies regarding charges i am asking WHICH IS THE BEST BANK OR BUILDING SOCIETY TO GO WITH.i am asking this as i have just recovered just over £3000 of lloyds tsb and i am sick and tired of getting charged £30-£35 for going over my overdraft limit by a couple of pounds.
i am sure i am not alone with this question.
regards tony
I have been with Lloyds for 25 years now and in that time I have found them to be very good. Politness costs nothing and if you knew you were near your limit a quick call to the branch or whatever and I am sure they would have accomodated an increase. However to claim back £3,000 from Lloyds gives us an insight on well you ran your account. If someone ask me who the best bank was I would recommend Lloyds because if you are prepared to adhere to their terms and conditions they will be fair to you.
Anyway heres to your next £3000.0 -
first direct are fantastic. Excellent customer service, a decent website that does everthing I need, and friendly helpful staff if I ever need to telephone them. Okay, their interest rate isn't the best, but for all the pence a year it amounts to - and I have an offset mortgage anyway - I'd rather stick with them than move around chasing the often short lived 'best buy' deals offered by the likes of Halifax or A&L. Pull 'em in, then leave 'em high and dry seems to be their mantra.0
