I'm selling my shared ownership house and solicitors have requested a copy of the NHBC certificate which I don't have and have never had.
The housing association don't have a copy but have emailed me confirmation that the development was registered with NHBC.
This confirmation says there were 13 houses in the development and the NHBC policy numbers relate to these calling them plots 1-13.....however, according to the housing association and my lease I am plot 15!
Any ideas about how to figure out how to get this certificate?!
The housing association have requested archive files to see if a copy is in there as they should have it and I have left a message with the solicitors I used when I bough my it incase they still have files!
I bough the house 9 years ago and it was a new build then so the 10 years is nearly up but I guess they still need it.
I'm not really sure where to go from here!
