I empathise with your frustration. I bought a Samsung RB31FEJNDSA fridge freezer from Currys for £399 in June 2014 and have just noticed that the plastic Easy Slide shelf is cracked in the front right corner. I have searched forums and found that cracking of the plastic of the shelves is a problem that other customers have had. On phoning Curry's for a replacement shelf, I was automatically put through to Samsung, who said that they only replace such items for 28 days from purchase. This is disgraceful. Clearly a shelf should last longer than that. Samsung are getting away with not addressing this known issue and are profiting by the customer having to pay for new shelves themselves. I will try to pursue Currys or Samsung to replace it free of charge under The Sale of Goods Act, rather than with reference to their warranty, but other reviewers indicate a very poor customer service on such matters...0

But in your case your contract is with Currys and not Samsung, so no good chasing Samsung as you have no contract with them.0 -
I know, but Currys automated telephone system puts you through to Samsung if you bought the item within the last 12 months or have an extended warranty, presumably trying to get customers to accept the warranty restrictions rather than pursue their legal rights as consumers. I will wait for the promised call back from a Samsung supervisor or manager and if they won't replace the shelf it will be Currys that I will pursue. As I mentioned, other reviews indicate that Currys are very poor at dealing with such matters, but we shall see. Nonetheless, it is Samsung who should address the known issue of the poor quality of some of their fridge shelves, either by improving the design or by replacing the shelves free of charge for at least the first year.0

And if Samsung's customers, i.e. in this case Currys, complained to their supplier, Samsung, that they were no longer going to buy such shoddy goods, then something might change.
Your are right to pester Currys, and hopefully they will put pressure on their supplier to provide a product of the required quality.0
