Banked £100 of ordinary £2 coins on Friday. Have bagged up another £100.00 will bank them some time this week.

Have decided on a purchase - going to use my £2 coins to buy a new headboard for our new bed. Bought a new bed on Saturday. Use a little independent shop rather than a 'big' store and saved around £230 and got a better mattress ( more springs).
I find it very satisfy when you can purchase something big with them e.g. Christmas presents or a holiday or car tax or something for the house.
I have still kept all my picture £2.00 coins they are in the untouchable jar.
Have obtained another 4 coins this weekend - your country needs you as well as 3 ordinary ones.
Once I have banked these. I will keep saving the ordinary ones for Christmas.

May day today and I was on the tombola stall. Managed to exchange a £20 note for £2 coins!

Potted them in addition to the 3 coins from last week.

I now have a total of £120 worth.

DD kindly offered me a £2 coin after coming back from town so that's another one potted.

£4 total. Estimated what's already in the terramundi at £50 though think that's conservative. Not saving for anything ... more like a SHTF fund!

There are a couple of members of this thread who know how many they have by the total weight. There were a few posts giving details but I can't remember if it was this year or last. Perhaps soneone will provide some more info.

^^^^ NO!!! dont smash it, use a knife to slide them down and out then you can reuse the pot...

I haven't had any coins for a while, I have had a big credit card bill to pay for so I have paid some of that off so haven't potted any coins for a few weeks, got a few bits coming through from toipcashback which I will pot when I get it,

I get my payrise this pay packed but also have a few days of half pay so will reevaluate when I get paid!!!

    Westie.

Wow Westie just saw your signature. .... Do you mind me asking how long you've been collecting £2's. I can't imagine ever getting to that amount. Well done!
