So then - general knowledge. Pounds, shillings and pence were denoted by which letters..?

LS&D - message too short, apparently.

Main decimalisation was 15 Feb 1971 but 50p was introduced before that.

Yeah, it's the introduction of the 50p piece I remember - we emigrated to Australia in 1970 and the 50p piece was introduced before we left. We returned to the UK in 1973 and it was all 'new money' by then.

Yes. And the follow up question is: What does it stand for?

    Hello!! Am I too late??

Right, re Toblerones.....a lot of people make the mistake of trying to pull or bite the individual pieces apart - you don't, you just apply pressure to the pointed bit at the top of the triangle, pushing it TOWARDS the next triangle - it snaps off easily with no broken fingers, and no Toblerone up your nose!

I obviously eat far to many of them.... :o

I try pushing them together, but they take a lot of force and when they finally break it startles me and crushes the top of the triangle. Maybe I'm just a wuss?

    It's LSD, rather than LSP...

But "Pounds" doesn't start with the letter L... ;)
