Next statement date

Hello

My credit card statement says "Next statement date" 22/12/14 but my online statement has not been updated to show last months total balance, so if I was to spend on it today (22/12/14), will it be added to the new balance next month?

Happy christmas!!

With my TSB CC, purchases made on the statement date (even though the current statement has not been finalised online yet) appear on the next statement.

So in your example, yes they would appear on the next months balance.
  • Great! Thanks.

I made a large purchase £1800 and I wanted the full 54 days interest free. My statement date was 12 Dec.

I double checked with telephone banking who confirmed it would appear on the "next" months statement as the statement is produced in the morning (even though it doesnt show online straight away) and purchases take a couple of days to get processed anyway.

Made purchase on 12th. On 13th, the statement was produced with transactions up to 11th and the purchase I had made on 12th still didnt show until 14th, where it appeared on the new one.

Also, check through previous months statements online to see which statement the 22nd purchases fall.
  • Thanks again! Looks like should be OK for next month!

On my Halifax, it depends when the payment hits the account. I have spent on the statement day (online) and it's shown immediately.

I have shopped in a store on statement day in a desperate attempt to spend my £300 for cash back, and it hasn't hit the account until a few days later and so the next statement.

I think it depends on how fast the retailer takes the money.
