Hiya Guys and Gals I am a newbie so I may not get my first thread right but I to have just recieved a penalty notice from V.C.S. and have spent most part of last week reading all of your comments which I am collating in to a ringbinder as evidence should I need to go to court.

In my research I made a lot of enquiries which may be of some use to you regarding your parking at John Lennon Airport in Liverpool and they are below for your attention to use as you see fit

The Operations Manager at John Lennon Airport is called Andrew Hepworth and his direct line phone number is
0151-907-1627 So I think if everybody with a parking penalty notice from J.L.A. rang him to ask him is he aware of the actions that is agents Vehicle Control Services are causing to travellers which may result in future loss of revenue.

The landowner for John Lennon Airport is a company called Peel Holdings and as I understand it they are the only company that can take you to court not John Lennon Airport or Vehicle Control Services

All the above advice is to the best of my knowledge to date so please research this information for clarification before sending in an appeal

No I was told he was busy, but if there were any agreements made with Vehicle Control Services he would as The Operations Manager have to have sanctioned them

What do you mean, you were "told". Never ever telephone people, always write a letter, and get a certificate of posting, a Judge likes to see a paper trail.

Hi, I am now on my second threatening letter from VCS. Has anyone been taken to court for not paying them. I think this is disgraceful from liverpool airport. Why can't they set up a system like Manchester has?

Have a look at the cases won by defendants, linked in post #5 of the NEWBIES thread. There's a link showing all the wins I have heard about, by motorists in small claims. One of the older cases near the bottom of the list is VCS v Ibbotson which still makes us laugh!
