DFS Creased sofa arms

I purchased an expensive "Navona" leather sofa from DFS over 3 years ago , and now looking for another for my dining room. I will not buy from DFS anymore, as very dissapointed with the service. When I received my 3 piece leather sofa, one of the arms was badly pressed in. I called the firm and a employee came out with a "hairdryer" to get rid of the crease! He then went on to say that leather sofa's are made from different parts of the animals, so some areas are not as "perfect" as others. I never got any satisfaction with this, but excepted the problem was not too bad after his efforts to correct the creasing. This man also told me their sofa's are made abroad in a third world country; I thought they were made in Denby Dale, Derbyshire. Strange off putting thing to be told, and if DFS read this I would be glad to be reassured this was not the case, considering the expensive cost of the sofa. I noted too on the initial sale's pressure of the selling of "Leather care kits", which are not neccessary, as using soft detergent, such as "Dreft" cleans the leather very well. All in all DFS are only interested in what they can sell to you. After the sale is completed, they are not interested and never do sales follow up to check you are a happy customer. Best to stick with a local supplier.

When you mention a "local" supplier , how local do you mean? Do you mean a leather 3 piece suite manufacturer within a mile of your home, or 10 miles, I'm just wondering how local is local ?0

The leather care kits keep the leather supple whilst dreft will dry it out, plus if you wanted quality why on earth buy from DFS ???0

Why bother posting about problems you had 3 years ago if you're not going to buy from them again ?
I have 2 sofas from DFS and have no problems with either, as i'm sure do thousands of others.0
