MSE Energy club threshold not including cancellation fees

Options
I got an email saying my threshold had been met and it was time to switch.

However when working out if the threshold has been reached it is failing to including the cancellation fee I would incur from my current supplier, even though you know it as you list it in my current details.

Once that has been included the threshold has not been reached so surely the notification email should not have been sent out?

Yes I believe it is ignoring it, but shouldn't be.

A simple solution is simply to include it in the calculation, so the saving has to exceed both your threshold and the penalty before sending out an email.

A more advanced solution would be to take account how much time is left on the lock in (eg for 2 years divide the penalty by 2).

I would be happy with the simple solution though.
