barclays online access suspended

Looks like I've been 'online banking challenged' over the past months or so. Last week got a fat bonus from my employer (which, sadly, was 100% allocated to reducing my credit card debt), made several payments today and Barclays decided to suspend my online access due to 'unusual patterns' in my account. I called to get it unblocked only to discover that unblocking can only be weekdays done during business hours and in branch with an ID. The problem is, I'm volunteering for Crisis at Christmas in the next 3 days and I'm unable to get to a branch... is there any way around this? Like re-registering for online banking? Or do it over the phone somehow? The chap on the phone didn't seem very knowledgeable...

Any suggestions?
CC balance: £7445 | paid off so far: £355

Your gonna have to go to a branch like they said with ID. You cant re-register it doesn't work like that. Looks like your gonna need to tell who ever your volunteering for your going to need 1 hour away, not like there gonna fire you or not pay......

It could be that he was being cagey. Your online access was suspended for suspicious activity (i.e. Barclays suspected somebody was trying to defraud you/them using your online account), so they might have suspected that it was the fraudster phoning them as well.
