TSB Classic Plus? Just make sure that you pay in £500 every month and set the options for Internet Banking, paperless statements and correspondence.

Thanks will have a look at it but don't wanna have to pay each month just wanna put money in when I can and if have another A/C With HSBC Debit card will be the same0

The advantage of a TSB Plus account is that it pays 5% AER, which is probably in the region of 5 times as much as you get in your HSBC savings account. Hard to see why you would decline that superb offer.
Paying in £500 a month doesn't mean you have to leave the £500 in there. You can take them out again instantly.0 -

I've just opened a second current account with HSBC (already have an Advance account). As you're an existing customer, you have to apply over the phone or in branch, which takes about 30 mins. You cannot apply online.
I didn't have any problems, apart from my new debit card being a non-contactless card. I phoned them, and they said I wasn't eligible for one, however after mentioning I already had one on my Advance account, the rep asked his manager, then ordered me one.
This was the Advance telephone bankers though... not quite sure I'd have got the same helpfulness from their overseas call centre, who last time I spoke to them had no idea what a contactless card was....0
