    Try reinstalling your display drivers.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

I'm not an expert so don't blame me if this goes wrong.

    This is for Windows 7.

Open Control Panel via Start Button, select Device Manager, select Display Adapters, right click on the display adapter and try Update Driver Software.

If that doesn't work then try Uninstalling the display adapter and reboot your PC. At boot up is should reinstall the display adapter. That should work but please don't blame me if it goes wrong. At worst you might be left with a very basic display but at least that will allow you to search for the correct driver on the internet and reinstall it.

Have you got the original software CD with drivers in it that might have come with the PC.

You may prefer to wait a while to see if someone more expert than me posts.

    Good luck.

  • I suspect this is a hardware problem.

When do you first notice the issue? Does it have the problem on the initial splash screen before Windows starts loading (assuming it's a Windows laptop)? If so you can rule out software issues and narrow it down to hardware.

When you switch on the machine will go through various stages.

    1. Before Windows starts - Either a Fujitsu logo (Fujitsu splash screen) or some writing probably white on a black background
    2. Windows starts loading (Windows splash screen)
    3. Windows log in page
Is it in three on the first two?

Also try starting Windows in Safe Mode.
Pressing F8 at the appropriate point as the machine is starting up should do that.

Do you have an external monitor you can plug in?
You could then try checking the BIOS settings to see if something is untoward there.
