Help with phone tariff offer O2

I did post this on another thread but I think this is the right place:

I've been with O2 for a couple of years and now is the time for me to get a new phone. I was paying around £10 per month for 400 minutes I think and unlimited texts. I want to get a new phone as the old one is knackered....charger port not working. I would also like some web data allowance. I contacted O2 and this seems to be the best they can offer.
Samsung Galaxy S III Mini Ceramic White with 0 upfront cost, monthly device plan £5.00 tariff for £8.00 which gives you 100 minutes, Unlimited texts and 100MB data, I'll also give you extra 500 O2 to O2 minutes for free, the total deal is for £13.00

What do you guys think? Is it a good offer? I don't use the telephone that much. I only sometimes go over my limit using my current phone. Thanks.

OP its a bit rubbish data allowance 100mb won't go very far you should be looking at 500mb-1gb if you are using the internet

Have you looked on Tesco mobile they run on O2 network you will get more mins text and data i would think
they also cap your allowance so you can't go over your limit if you ask

Its also easy to PAC code your number over to tesco if you want to keep it.
Better deal at Tessco have a look at link.

Thanks for that. The deal looks much better. Any more suggestions? I'm not that fussed about the O2 network. In fact, Orange seems to be slightly better around where I live.
