Amending an invoice after buyer has paid.

Options
I've had this a few times now and can't see a way of doing it. Buyer pays for an item through Paypal, and then wants the item to be posted to them quicker and agrees to pay for the extra postage. Can't resend an amended invoice because the buyer has paid.

Could ask them to forward extra to Paypal but you can't send an e-mail address through eBay and don't really feel that comfortable sending my Paypal details to a 'stranger'. I suppose I could refund through Paypal, but not sure if that re-opens the sale with a new invoice that I could then amend.

Any ideas?

  • Once the buyer has paid, you have their email address. Problem is there is a 20p fee on the Paypal invoice before the 3.5% starts. So people asking to have their widget posted 1st class, need to pay the 20p extra postage, plus the 20p paypal fee plus 3.5% of 20p = 47p. In all honesty, if they've paid and then said "I'll pay the extra" - they are just cheeking it.

I agree they are just being cheeky because they KNOW damned well if they want a change of delivery circumstance they should request an updated invoice before they pay
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?
