I recieved a call last week from heart radio telling me I had won 4 tickets to ice skating and free rides at winterville london for yesterday. I was really excited, we arrived there after 2 hours on the train for them to have no details of my win so I gave them a copy of email confirming the details. While they sorted it out they gave me tickets for the ice skating. We arrived back after skating to be told they had no details of me and I couldn't have the free rides (it's basically a funfair with a small ice rink in the middle) I tried to sort it out with them as I had all the details yet as it had cost me £45 to get there and 2 hours of travelling in the end they gave me 10 tokens. The rides cost between 3 and 5 tokens, so my 2 boys got 2 rides.
Am I being very ungrateful or would I be right contacting heart and telling them what happened, to be honest I hadn't heard of winterville so wouldn't of gone there without winning tickets especially this close to Christmas. The ice skating was fun but we have an ice skating rink half an hour away from us which wouldn't of cost me half of what I paid in trains and I wouldn't of travelled that far for 45 minutes of skating. Am I just being ungrateful or right to feel let down?

I would definitely contact Heart if it were me. Good luck. I hope they recompense you in some way.0

Good Luck0 -
Thank you just wanted to check I wasn't being an ungrateful cow lol, I will email them and see what their response is.0

Nope, not ungrateful at all!
I'd definitely email Heart and tell them all you've told us, (Ice-skating near you & cheaper etc,) and express how disappointed your family were at their eagerly anticipated exciting prize turned into a shambolic disappointment.
If Heart had funded the prize, they need to know it wasn't fulfilled

Agree with what the others have said.
Good luck with it.0 -
No, you're definitely not being ungrateful!! You were promised a prize and didn't get what you were promised so you should take it up with Heart. At the least they should apologise and send you something else by way of compensation. Let us know how you get on! x0

Definitely tell Heart. They could have paid hundreds to the company expecting you to have as many rides as you liked, their admin could have failed, meaning Heart have paid for nothing! I imagine they'll definitely want to know.0

I received an email back telling me they will call me tomorrow so I'll let you know what they say, thanks everyone.0
